Fiendish Codex is a MOD of Minecraft 1.7.10. It is a MMORPG type with various weapons, items, armors and enemies. Four different professions are offered.  18 types of enemies and bosses awaits. Complete quest system aligned with 13 chapters, 3 endings, and even support for new game plus! The journey starts from opening a weird book you found accidentally called <Fiendish Codex>...
Fiendish Codex
Background
After making several single player games with different types, I am curious about how to design multiplayer games. Building a complete multiplayer game from nothing was too challenging. Instead, I choose to develop a MOD. Many games support modifications, but these modifications usually have too much limitations to show the elaborations of designers. After comparing different games, I choose Minecraft as my development environment. It is a sandbox game that allows almost everything you can ever imagine. Some famous mods even create different dimensions and different technologies. With permission to modify almost everything in game, I got this wild idea of developing a MMORPG mod on Minecraft.

4 Distinctive Professions
Berserker, Knight, Archer and Mage are chosen as representative of different fighting styles. Berserker can do fierce melee attacks with high speed but low defense. Knight fights with the horse and can absorb lots of damage. Archer are perfect for long range assassination, but vulnerable against crowd of enemies. Mage is almost suitable in all situations, but it requires fast and precise manipulations of different staffs. Each profession has associated skill system to enhance their abilities while leveling up.
50 Different Weapons
In order to meet different play style of different players, 4 categories of weapons are created for 4 professions. Sword/ Dual Blade for berserker, Spear/Heavy Sword for knight, Bow/Dart for archer, and Staff for Mage.
57 Functional Armors
Minecraft Armor offers protections, but it can do more than that! Now leather and cloth armor may have powerful functionalities. Labor suits may not be good for fighting. Heavy armor may even be more effective than diamond armor! Certain armor can form sets for additional effects. Forget diamond set and choose wisely!
19 Unique Accessories
If choosing armor set and switching weapons are not enough to show your preferences, you still have another four slots for accessories! 1 necklace, 1 amulet and 2 rings. Similar to functional armors, each of these accessories has its unique usage. Dress yourself up for advanced battles!
13 Chapters of Quests
In order to guide the players through the whole story, quests with different requirements and rewards are classified into 13 chapters. With the help of Hardcore Questing Mod, these quests can be easily understand by both old and new players.
Extra Achievement Page
Statistics are good. Achievements are better! With an extra page of achievements, players huge improvements and discoveries would be marked and notified to all the players on the server!
Surprising World Events
Besides main story, there are also minor surprises for curious players. Fishing may loot drift bottles, mining may loot ancient treasures, and hunting may find clues to another dimension! When the night falls, the true danger in the dark may also appear around you...Find more secrets and reveal the truth hidden in the codex!
Challenging Boss Fights
Quests and mobs can offer rare and epic gears. If you want legendary gears, it is time to challenge a BOSS! All the boss drops what they hold by chance. Every boss has unique skills and fighting styles. Different professions may have different difficulties against them. If you cannot beat them by yourself, call your friends and make it a raid!
